4x4 conversion on Townie

Say I wanted to convert this townie to 4x4 using a set of IHC 6 lug axles. The front looks like a pretty straight forward deal, but does the back might be a little different. Does the rear spring perch flip over, or do you install a spacer between the axle housing and springs to get the proper lift to match the front? How is it on a original 4x4 townie?
