Why is it always teeth up?

Why is is when I get into a Dodge or Plymouth I always hold the key with the teeth upwards? I never do when I get into any other vehicle. It is not a conscious act but is is always that way. Even when I start my Carryall (which requires the teeth to be facing downward) I always first try it with the teeth facing upward. There is something about a Dodge.

Obviously I am not talking about a double sided key.
