I honestly don't see what's wrong with the rig! Maybe a slightly underpowered vehicle but its not as if the rearend is dragging the ground. I'm sure the car was not the best choice buts maybe thats all they had and they had to get the boat out of the area for whatever reason.
Surely not the worst tow outfit I've ever witnessed. The time I saw the overloaded Ford Escort station wagon pulling the equally overloaded U-Haul trailer down I-95 took the prize.
