The trans should match up, you may or may not have clutch and starter issues with the LA flywheel, but nothing that can't be solved by matching spline and tooth counts.
Why are you pulling the Poly (not a wide block)? It's a much, much, more potent motor than the LA. More durability, more power and more fuel economy, just curious?
