I made these yesterday. They are layed out like how they will go on the tank to hold it to the frame. Lots of holes to drill for them! The 2 with out springs go on the rear of the tank since it can't flex there due to so many cross members and axle mounts. The next set with double springs are mounted at the front of the tank. The 2 straite heavey channels bolt to the lower frame to keep the tank from shifting if the upper frame welded to the tank pulls away from the lower truck frame. The last set of single springs goes on the ends of the Tanks Frame Rails 4 ft from the end of the tank. These are heavy springs rated to hold tanks down but still allow some movement if needed. All the bolts are Grade #8 including the washers and locking nuts. I still need to get 12 more Frame Bolts for the brackets. 28- 1/2" Special Grade #8 Frame Bolts in shear hold the 6 spring mounts to the 2 sets of frames. The 6 springs take over 2,700 lbs to collasp them so they won't bounce the tank around unless needed and will give a 2 inch maxium lift away from the frame if it twists. There are 10- 5/8 inch Grade 8 bolts in Tension that hold the Mounts together and 2 of them could lift the truck off the ground before they would break. So this tank should stay on even if it rolls over which I hope that will never happen!! Mark H.
