Seattle Fire was contacted to send Firefighters to NO through FEMA. The duties described were to act as a liason between the civilians and FEMA, no Firefighting or rescue duties.
They only took 2 guys from the technical rescue team, and they got turned back inroute.
I offered to go, but only if FEMA issued me a UZI for the duration! LOL!!!
