Delphi is about to turn the tables on GM. Their (old GM)union contracts, which they are honoring and GM approved, are putting them in dire straits. Here in Dayton they actually have rooms full of people who show up everyday and sit for 8 hours and do nothing because they are not allowed to be put in a different job. I'm not talking a few, I mean 100's. GM actually is buying some parts from Delphi at LESS than just the materials cost because of demands made by GM. If Delphi declares bankruptcy GM will have to pay the sitting workers and all of their pensions plus the lack of parts will cripple them for a while. We'll know by the 15th of next month. I have family on both sides of this and it isn't going to be pretty around here.
An intersting side note is that Delphi is the largest supplier to BMW, even Ford uses them. Kevin
