Your right about technical - I'm ticked at Cheveron due to them changing their Mobil-1 synthetic oil. I used 15-50 in all my cars and now they don't produce it. Seems 5-30 is the standard now. Mobil-1 is great oil and there are a few older cars/trucks around still. Now I'm using Castrol 20-50 oil for high mileage engines. Not the same, but no alternative. I should send them an email
