We left Alvin (30 mi S of Hou) before noon yesterday. Made it to a campground in Crockett at 10:25. About 8 mph overall. And that was before traffic got heavy heavy. Now that the storm has moved on a more Northerly track, we are right in the path. I'd still rather be here with my 93 W250 and Lance camper in the back than in Alvin. We are over a hundred miles from the coast, but I know we will get hurricane force winds here Saturday. Just have to trust Higher Power to keep us safe.
