Power wagon stalling

Hi : I own a 78 power wagon 3/4 ton 4x4 and it doesn't want to idle - it stalls out and seems to get slightly flooded. Also when loaded and climbing a hill it gradually gets flooded and loses power until I shift to neutral and rev it up to clear the flooding. Would anyone be able to tell me how to adjust the carb to solve this problem? It is a tough old truck , and fun to drive; I would appreciate any help. Thanks
