My newer $12,000.00 3/4 Ton 1998 Dodge 360 Gas MAGUME is history now! It has over heated the Trans 3 times now pulling a load up our hill to get home. It did it again today with only 4 tons of hay in 1st gear!! I can't aford a new Desile so I had to go back to a Chevy again. This time I bought the 1977 Chevy 1 Ton 4X4 in this picture that I tried to sell for a guy befor, but I got it for $4,000.00 1/3rd of what I paid for the Dodge and it has allmost the same miles then the Chevy does on it except the Chevy has been completely gone thru around 4,000 miles ago. It has the 454 V-8 with Recent complete over haul with less than 4,000 miles, Turbo 400 Automatic Transmission also over hauled along with the 205 Transfer Case. These were done all at the same time. External Trans Cooler, Brakes completely gone thru, New Heavy Duty Radiator, New Heater Core, New Hoses and Belts, New Carpet and seat upholstery, 2 year old paint job complete with clear coat, New Exsaust System with 2.5” aluminized pipe and 50 Series Flowmasters. Front and Rear Differentials are 4.10 ratio with Dana 60 up front. Brand new Battery 1 month old, all glass is good with NO CHIPS or CRACKS! This truck is completely rust free, Rear Slider window and has Tilt Steering, AM/FM Cassette player with 4 speakers, Chrome Simulated Wheel Covers, Dual Fuel Tanks with Electric Transfer, 8 ft Bed, Front and Rear Sway Bars, Heavy Duty Bed Mat. It has a Class 3 Heavy Duty Receiver Hitch and wired for 2 different Trailer Jacks(6-hole and Bergman) plus a 4-wire adapter. In the Glove Box there is a brand new HEI Coil and Modual for the Dist just in case it is needed. Allmost New Matching Tires all the way around.

Motor information as follows;
454 Standard Bore, New Rings, New Bearings 10-10, New Comp Cam 260 H Hydraulic, Cloyers Timing Gear set adjustable, New Lifters, New Push Rods and Rocker Arms. New Oil Pump, Water Pump and Fuel Pump. New HEI Distributor, New Edelbrock Q-Jet Carb, All Valves were ground and replaced as nessasary. Now I know it is a Chevy but it is a RUST FREE one completely gone thru and will be used for pulling heavy loads not a regular driver. I figure I saved $20,000.00 or more doing it this way instead of buying the Newer Dodge Cummins to pull with. The other Dodge will be traded in for a smaller style pick up to get better MPG and to just drive around in. No Electronics or Smog except a PCV in the 77 Chevy and I can work on it and at least know what is wrong if something happens later. I tried but was not happy with the Dodge I bought and I do now how to work on a Chevy but glad the other guy spent all the money fixing this one up befor I bought it! I lost my butt on my 1980 I fixed up and sold for 3,000.00 befor I got the 98 Dodge. Mark H.
