Hi Will,
More important than lining up is the size of the pulleys, they need to be precisely measured for width and depth. If there is even a slight difference in width the belt will slip or prematurely wear. When you adjust the belt, the belt should be at or near the top of the pulley groove, not down in the bottom of the groove, there should be space from the bottom of the belt to the the bottom of the groove. If the belt sits too low,. then the width of the belt is too narrow, or the pulley is two wide (assuming that the other pulleys, ie: the engine damper and water pump pulleys are correct). From the photo, it looks pretty good.
A word of caution about the 140 Amp alternator, old Dodge wiring cannot carry that load, if you have upgraded the wiring then you'll be fine, but the stock amperage was around 30-35 amps and you'll cook the stock wires with a high out-put alternator. I have a 100 amp in my W200, up from 65 stock, it needed new wiring........= )
