Just put on a new 27" lower hose, which does have the inner spring. Still trying to diagnose the problem - hadn't thought of revving the engine when it is hot to see if the hose is getting sucked flat. Was hoping to avoid the expense of a braided hose. I am using a new high flow water pump.

I am running a clutch fan. Not sure how to tell when the clutch goes bad, but I would think it would not disengage??

Does the 6.2 in your M1009 tend to run hot, or was the event on Tejon a fluke? What mileage are you getting?
