Shared the information with Dad on the guns. He doesn't remember them ever coming through Rock Island for work to be done, but they may have been manufactured there. If they had ever come through for work, there probably would have been a big deal made of it.
He said that the 105s and the 3 inchers used the same chassis. Probably the only thing special, other than "spit and polish" would maybe be some changes to fire blank shells with the smaller load.
Interesting stuff.
