My block has the two 1/2" holes. My Pre Magnum rebuild manual mentions that some use a hole in the upper passenger side thrust plate bolt (It's threaded hole goes into the bottom of the lifter valley), and that some use a drip pan, but doesn't say that you have to have one or the other.

Even the new Mopar thrust plate has four bolts with out any holes.

The Magnum re-build manual states there are only three bolts and none with holes and has an oiling tab, but the open bolt hole is the lower drivers side.

Shoild I drill out one of the bolts and make it an oiler?
