Go to the Binder Bulletin, there is at least one diesel Scout for sale in the classifieds section.
I think IH started making the Scout diesels in 1975 or 1976. They were all naturally asperated except in 1980, when a turbo was added. The 1980 Scouts also had Dana 300 transfer cases instead of Dana 20s, and the front axle had some positive castor built into it, unlike all the other years that were set at zero from the factory.

Don't expect a lot from this engine, it is pretty doggy, even in the turbo form. If I were you, I would go with a 6.2 GM diesel for your Waggy. Better power than the IH, cheap, easy to work on, and common.

If you are just looking for a truck that is ready to go, a diesel Scout might be what you need. The Travelers had a 118" wheelbase, while the regular Scouts had a 100" wheelbase.
