Being raised on a farm, we had one of our truck that was non-synchro and I learned there. It has been about 25yrs though.
It may not be noticeable on the video but on all up-shifts, I double-clutched. As the tranny is synchro between 3rd and 4th, I did not double clutch there. The same when I down-shifted from 4th to 3rd, I did not double-clutch. When I got into neutral between 3rd and 4th with the clutch still depressed, there was the rigning noise (probably from the synchronizer) and it would not easily go in 3rd.
My main problem is not the synchronizer but the big clanking noise while in gear.
I still have to take the top off my tranny to look inside.
