318 cubic inch, 8 cylinders (in case those 8 wires confused you...ha!ha!) -2 series two, that's a prefered block and motor. Series 2 is the same as the standard series 1, except, it shares the series 3 HD roller chain ( a weak point of the series 1 as series 1 chains are prone to stretch after only 50,000 miles). Series 2 & 3 has smaller exhaust valves, for more bottom end, and valve rotators that help cool the valves and add longevity to them. Series 1 has mechanical lifters, Series 2&3 have hydraulics and stronger valve springs. Oil capacity is 6 quarts vs. 5 in the series 1. Series 1 oil pump is rated 50-70 lbs, series 2 & 3 rated at 60-80 lbs.

PS; The turquoise blocks were a rareity as most Polys were red, my firewall still has the turquoise over spray, so I know it is original, no red underneath.
