Just so I understand, you bolted a 345 to a Dodge 6BT bellhousing? This would also allow the use of a modern 5-speed overdrive behind a SV series IH V-8, correct? The IH T-34 is a terrible towing trans, the gear splits are huge. I have wished for a better 5-speed many times behind my 392. I bet a Getrag 5-speed would stand up to a IH v-8, I know they weren't that great behind the Cummins, but even an IH doesn't crank out the torgue like a 5.9.
