1959 to 1966 (67 in Canada).
Almost every truck and car model could be bought with a Poly, Big Dodge trucks, W500 and up, had the 318-3 Poly (called Industrial by some) it had a tad less power but was bullet proof.
What application? I'm assuming you have a manual transmission? Make sure that the donor Poly also came from a manual vehicle, otherwise Polys that were mated to automatics will have a different pilot hole in the crank that will have to be adapted to the manual trans. (there is a Mopar adapter kit for that) A hydraulic bell is prefered and it will bolt right up to the NP420, NP435 and other manual trannies from Dodge. These motors were virtually indestructable and would still run strong with severe damage, so check for fouled plugs on the drivers side bank (1-3-5-7) that side would sometimes run hotter and seize the rings, but still run with fair compression. The intake manifolds had a crossover heat tube that often clogs with carbon and cracks on the under side, you can't see it without pulling the intake. It came stock with a forged crank and high volume oil pump. Timing chains often stretch after 50,000 miles and the points require constant maintenance. A double roller timing chain from Mopar and an electronic ignition system easily eliminate those problems.
Good Luck!
