I got home yesterday from the FREEDOM ROUTE +60 road tour that took place in the southern interior of British Columbia. The convoy was made up of over thirty vehicles that ranged in vintage from WW2 to the mid eighties. I drove a 1953 M-37 CDN that belonged to the 15th Field Regimental Museum in Vancouver and made the 750 mile journey without any significant problems. The fact that this truck made the trek over the Coast Mountain range twice in the heat of summer without incident says alot for the engineering that created this variant of the Power Wagon . In fact I was so impressed I will make the claim that there has never been to this day a light MV that can match the M-37's record of dependability and off road performance. That said I had a fantastic time travelling with a great bunch of folks from Noth America and Europe and will be signing on for the next tour in maybe 3 years.
