If memory serves it can't be more than 6-8". They use a small floor press with a air cylinder to press the board. The die has two steel dowel pins to keep it aligned as it comes down. By having it that short you are able to work the bad stuff a little at a time by advancing it as it straightens. Of course if the edges are folded badly we used a hammer to work rough it out first. I understand about your shipping from that distance. Good luck.
