I have a Chevy V8 in my WC 53 with the original radiator. I only had hot engine once and that was basically on the first parade that I did a month after I completed it. Since then I have had no problems I have a 190 themastat in it and I have seen the temp go just above 200 When it does that I bring the RPMs up slightly and the temp drops immediately. There is just the flexible fan on the water pump. However, I had the radiator flused and cleaned and everything was new.

If you are in a hot area I might consider replacing the radiator core with a more efficient and thicker one. I would consider possibly putting in an electric fan. The ffPW has a larger radiator capacity with the large upper tank the the WCs do not have. This should help keep things cooler.
