I am on my second Dodge/Cummins, and have always used Delo, 15W40. I have had several Ford/Powerstrokes, all with over 225,000 when I buy them. I run them to about 250,000 and then upgrade to another with lower mileage. All the Fords have been run with Motorcraft 15W40, and oil changes every 10,000 miles.
Have never thought synthetic was worth the money, and I think my high mileage Dodge and Ford pickups prove it. None of my trucks have ever experienced any unusual oil consumption, or engine failure of any kind.
I would save my money and use regular diesel engine quality oils.
