"DODGE" Tail Light Trivia Question

I have found two styles of "DODGE" lettered tail light lenses used on the early to mid-fifties flat fendered civilian Power Wagons, and am wondering which style was used during which years. The first and earliest style printed "DODGE" in an arc following the top curve of the tail light. This lens was flat. The second type printed "DODGE" staight across the lens, and had a small protrusion in the glass directly beneath. All the factory photos I've seen of the early Power Wagons through 1951 had the first style lense. The 1956 parts catalogue lists the second type.

Any one know which lense came with what years?

John
