Yes, but your Champion 5hp is a REAL 22-25amp motor at 220 volts while the Sears 5-6hp is under 15 amps at 110volts (7.5 amps at 220 volts). The Champion's spec's are accurate. I had a 5hp 30gal Sears vertical oiless compressor. It was noisy junk. I upgraded to a 3hp 1750 rpm motor(15 amps/220 volt)and a "v" -speedaire pump - much more air and very little noise.

For comparision purposes:at 220 volts, ~4.5 amps = 1hp. Many hobby motors are overrated for hp - although that seems to be improving. Focus on CFM at 90/100psi for comparision purposes.
