Not enough power at speed

My T137-engined Mowag (Swiss Army radio-command car) performs not good at all at 'high' speed. Some time ago it went up to 70 km/h, but now not faster than 50 km/h. It sounds like being short cutted, but all the wires are renewed and even the plugs. Also the points of the ignition.
At low speed it sounds very good, no trouble at all...
But as soon the pedal goes down it wont boost enough. And it makes also a sound of a tri angel...
Who can help?
