Think your restoration cost is high?????

Was talking last night to a coworker and he said his brother had some rock chips in his hood and a couple on the top of one fender. He has a Shelby GT500 which is a fairly rare car but when he told me the quote to repaint the hood and just the top of the fender I was amazed. $8500!!! I guess some out there are willing to pay that but i bet no one here would. The shop is a high end shop as the've won that America's Most Beautiful Roadster a couple times but it's hard to put that in comparison with a complete decent running truck. I had heard rumors before he got $30,000 to paint a car but kind of laughed it off. I'm thinking now maybe that was low! Kevin
