Yep, sure am and sure did. In fact, I've written down most of the stories I got on the 35 also, I should get the guys in our truck club to do the same and write a short book of old truck stories. Call it "Tales of Alaskan Trucks" From most of the stories I've heard it would be pretty humorous.
One of the stories about the 35 was the original owner, Charlie, having a condition that would send him into hallucinations, folks would find him up on his cabin roof crowing like a rooster some times. A couple of times he went into a fit while driving the 35 from his gold mine back to town and ended up in the willows, one time he put his nose through the windshield and cut most of it off. He limped the truck back into town after his nose healed up somewhat and hired Donald Honee to fix er up. Charlie’s wife came to Don and asked him to always look like he was working on it but never finish it. She was afraid ol Charlie was going to kill himself in it. That was in 1965, Charlie died shortly after and the truck never ran again.
