It will be very much appreciated if anyone will send me points
of contact for purchasing a gas tank for my '73 one ton dually
4x4 Power Wagon. This truck is a W300 and has two gas tanks,
one behind the seat and one between the frame rails. The tanks
are filled through a single gas inlet which has two openings
just inside the inlet, a "Y", for filling the tanks. The stock
tank is plastic. It has become brittle over time and is not
reliable any longer, requiring the necessity of carrying gas tank
patching materials when going off road. I found a plastic tank
in the salvate yard in a dodge half ton truck but it was not
the correct one for the one ton PW 4x4 truck.
Anyone who has a solution for fixing this leaking gas tank problem
other than J B Weld, which is what we are using now, would greatly
assist us if they can tell us how they solved this problem.
