Gordon, As a person who has "been there, done that"......
Our son was diagnosed with "Wolff-Parkinson-White" syndrome and had the cardiac ablation procedure twice, the second time it was thought to have "cured" the "WPW". That was back (almost 7 and 10 years ago) when it was considered an "experimental" surgery and most insurance plans would not cover it.

Now at his cardiology check-up last week, we found out that he has developed "extra beats"...a condition it seems that most people who have undergone the ablation some years ago are starting to show up with. It was detected on his holter monitor and his treadmill stress testing.

What that means, we don't know yet (and neither do the experts) but we were assured that the electophysiologist who preformed the first two ablations can also deal with this, but our son must first get to the point of having episodes of feeling faint, dizzy or actually passing out. A scary thought for us. I am not a person to sit back and wait, so you can bet I will be doing reseach on this to stay on top of any developments.

Please, don't take this wrong, cardiac ablations are a medical miracle, our son would not be alive today without his. I am not trying to scare you but to give you a heads up...INSIST upon a 24 hour holter monitor and treadmill stress testing every year.
The reason I am putting this here for the world to see is in case anyone else has had a cardiac ablation, I think they should know about this newest finding.
Take care and god bless.
