I'm looking at the various options for putting an overdrive into
my '53 M37 as part of my Cummins 4BT swap. Currently, I'm talking
to Advance Adaptors about setting up a Ranger Overdrive to go between
the Chevy bellhousing on the Cummins and the stock transmission.
Since I'd like to keep my truck in one piece as long as possible, I'm
posing this question to all you experts:
What is the exact diameter and spline count for the input shaft on the
existing transmission in a '53 M37? What is the exact diameter of the
bearing retainer?
I think that they are comming around, but the want to know what they are
looking at before they commit themselves.
