I would not recommend using a tow bar except for very short distances. I have towed both my B2 PW and my WC 53 Carryall home when I first got them. I will remember both times for the rest of my life. When I towed the Power Wagon home I used my International Scout. I had a driver in the PW to drive. All I can say is the driver in the PW showed me who was in control. He did it once delibertly just to remind me. It litterally pushed me all over the road. It was quite different than towing my 5500 lb boat and trailer with the Scout. The boat was easy the PW was a whole new and scary game. I towed the Carryall home with the PW. It was only 15 miles but with a fair number of turns. You would think that that the trucks would be evenly matched for towing. No way the Carryall pushed the PW all over the place when going through turns. Straight line towing was OK.

There had to be a tremendous amount of stress and torque on the tow bar in the turns. I would not recommend flat towing a PW for very far. Several people commented on using a 3/4 or 1 ton truck to do it. I say that they are still too light for towing a PW. 1/2 ton trucks, do not even think about it. I would find a good trailer and a big tow vehicle if I wanted to go very far.
