Tim and anyone else who cares,
It is a shame that in a free society, we constantly have to spend our time making sure the Gov't and some "know it all" citizens
don't take all our rights away. We don't have to worry about Russia or China taking us over and imprisoning us, WE ARE DOING TO OURSELVES.
It is getting to the point were the people behind bars will be have more freedom.
Things like being told what vehicle you can drive to school is just a small cell in the ever growing bacteria that if left unchallenged, becomes
an acceptable part of societies ills.
Like a child, the gov't will try to see what they can get away with. Other groups do it too. You give up a little, and soon it snowballs into giving up everything.

The people in my development do not like my 77 GMC dualie that I own. The truck has passenger registration, and is in very good shape. One of the homowners who is on the board of the homeowners association,
tried to get me to remove the truck. This was after 6 years of my living here. He was not expecting me to fight, nor was he prepared, (make sure your own house is in order before giving others a hard time).
After he unsuccessfuly quoted a list of rules that he thought applied to my truck, ie commercial plates, ladder racks, lettering-none of which applies, he said my truck was an EYESORE and I have to remove it.
I told him Mercedes Benz's, to me are an eyesore. There are laws that pertect people from over zealous power mongers that want to over step their bounds. He backed off.

Once you let these things happen, they become acceptable, then forgotten about, and then they happen again. That how politicians keep reinventing themselves. If there is not an honest issue for them to deal with,
they will create one, and then brainwash you into thinking they are the only ones who can solve the problem and save you.

Fight it Tim, before your son's son is a robot.
