There is something wrong with this picture. It shouldn't be cheaper to call out contractors from far away. What is it we're not seeing here? I get the feeling there is a reason you are being bypassed; attitude, cost, obvious problem with the tribes (I know, they do give lots of reasons). You need to get going and make them want you, not sit by the phone grousing. Just my opinion
