Was going over the 46 PW checking for oddities and differences from other PW's when I noticed a piece of the original headliner still attached to the inside of the cab. Definitely not faded out and it is originally white.
I have seen black, brown and grey and have seen many WC civilian cabs but none had a white headliner in them.
Notice the brown headliner retaining piece over the door and the original OD green military paint. The truck is dark blue and have the build card to back it up. The factory taped off what would not be seen and painted over the OD green. Very cool stuff. The firewall and under the hood as well as the cab floor area and seat perches is still OD green.
Also on another note the 2 stamped sheetmetal headliner supports that are spot welded inside the top of the cab roof on a typical PW are nonexistent on this truck.
Peculiar and curious notations of the early trucks. I have noted and taken pics of other oddities as well trying to document this truck as best as I can. This truck does not have brass headlight mounting bases.
