A fan shroud is the way to go!!! Flex-Fans flatten out as the rpm's go up and when you are getting on the gas in first gear low range you will have no airflow through the radiator. When you construct your shroud, make it so the fan is half inside the shroud and half out... looking from the top down. Jill's Townie has a shroud on it and has no cooling problems.... on second thought, does the temp gauge work????
