I was always very impressed by Jill and the other hard core 4wd people at the rally, but now I see how it works.
Step #1 Get several cans of Spray On Mud
Step #2 Find a nice and friendly out of the way bar
Step #3 Hide out in bar for hours.
Step #4 Apply "Spray On Mud"
Step #5 Return to fairgrounds and talk about all the hardships you went through out on "the trail".
I guess these folks must have more money then I thought, as those TWs, M-37s, etc have a lot of surface area to cover with fake mud!
