The 6x6 chassis was a stock WW2 vehicle built for the military from 1942-1945, the only one equipped with a closed cab I beleive was at the Dodge Truck Plant and was the plant fire truck. Otherwise they were normally equipped with an open 2 seat cab/cowl.
