Congratulations to your son and you Tim!! I have pushed and directed my own son onto that same path and now he is on his own to make the final step. I hope that your son's community service project was a worthwhile and beneficial project to the community. I have almost become disillusioned by my sons own troop and council as they seem to ticket punch and rubber stamp many of the boys on service projects. I have seen the same forgotten cemetary and parks/river access cleaned and mowed 3 times in 5 years for a project for Eagle!! I still volunteer for our summer camps and believe that the BSA is a great orginization for our young men. I wish that the CCC or WPA was still in service to direct the youth and young men of this country into becoming more productive and responsible citizens instead of the emphasis which is put into sports nowdays for the sholarship and monetary worth. Your son is on the path to becoming a productive and solid citizen!!!
