I've always figured that all the bell housings were interchangable, therefore starters would be too? Where have you been getting them? Does he KNOW flatheads? Is the bendix right? If the bellhousings are the same, then the center-to-center distance is the same. If so, a different ring gear (tooth count) would need a different bendix.
