That is correct...you are missing the point...ha!ha!
What the series of photos is intended to show is the transition from the civilian bodied panel, WD21 with panel doors, two wheel drive, to the civilian bodied 4WD VC-6 with lift gate, to the full combat bodied WC53. The sheet metal is basically the same, it is very likely that some version of panel doors during this transition period would fit the WC53 as it evolved from the basic Dodge panel truck of 1939.
