The rear panel doors are from a 1939-47 panel truck and were not original to this Carryall. Someone moved the rear door bottom sill down about 4 inches, equal to the additional height of the doors over the liftgate & tailgate. On the rear exterior view, you see 3 holes on each side of the bottom sill for the original tailgate hinges. Note, too, how the bottom of the doors is well below the bottom of the rear sides. On the interior rear view, you can see where the bottom sill was cut out and lowered 4 inches. This is just an incomplete fitting of panel rear doors to a 3/4 ton military Carryall, not any factory modification. Like Paul's, it will look nice and be very practicval when completed, but there's still work to be done.
