Re -arching springs on WDX

Need advice on springs for 47 WDX. Figured to do fronts as I'm dropping in a 318 but thought I'd leave the rear springs alone as I don't intend to haul anything much. What do you suggest? What about removing a few leafs(leaves?) from the rears to "improve" the ride? Cost to re-arch is $200 per set. Is this reasonable?
