Crusty is right on with his advice.
For the type of useage, and because of the various drivers, you might want to consider a weekly schedule of maintenance instead of baseing it on mileage or hours. The type of vehical use is as important as how long or how many. Water crossings, dust storms, sand etc. all dictate service requirements immediately after such use.
Back when...(man does that sound like my dad!) I had a fleet of work trucks (yes Timmy they were ferds) everyone had a different maintenance requirement because of driver style (or lack of same) and different types of useage. Unless you have a person specifically earmarked to perform the mileage/hour checks, It's hard to get the drivers to perform their maintenance on a mileage or hour basis, they are either too busy or too neglectful, but when maintenance is on a predetermined, preset schedule, it seems to work better for both driver and vehicle. They were required to turn in their maintenance sheets along with their time cards, no maintenance sheets, no valid time cards. It worked pretty well.
