I have been working the installation of a 318 Poly/NP420 (removed from a 65 W300) in my 1953 M37.

The motor mounts are built, and the trans is installed, so now its down to the little stuff.

I was concerned about the clearance at the tunnel between the seat and doghouse, but found the right trick......

The M37 splined end of the center driveshaft "mates" perfectly with the female
end of the W300 slip yoke!

I bolted it in place, and it is skinny enough to clear the tunnel on the body.

I need to post a pic. Mounting the t-case levers was not so easy, but they are in, mounted to the passeneger side motor mount, and operate smoothly. Likely an advantage to having them mounted on the tranny.
