A guy I used to know said he'd built himself a "King drag" when he used to live out on the peninsula and he maintained his road using his horses to drag this thing. He said it worked way better than dragging an I-beam like some people do, and it allowed you to distribute the dirt where you want it. I've looked around on the internet and the only mention I find of a "King drag" is some old articles talking about how good it works, but nothing about how it's built. Since all I have for maintaining my road is an old D4, which tends to make it a "dippity-dive" cat road, even if I back-blade it, I thought this might be worth looking into. Presumably if it was made to be pulled by a team, I could pull it behind a truck. As I recall, the guy who told me about it said you stand on it and shift your weight around to control how it works, so that would mean one person driving the truck, and one operating the drag.
