if the tubes do not have any creases in them
then use them
9.00x15 tubes will work in a 9.00x16 tire
and the tubes in my tires are vintage 1960
cleaned the rust crap off where the valve
attaches to the tube & put them back in
use plenty of tire talc

Old Old Tire Man - been there done that
even older than Paul Cook and that is a hard
thing to do
