Something just doesn't add up here. So Chrysler's quality is up (a known fact), but warranty repairs are costing them too much. If the additional cost to consumers for repairs previoulsy covered under warranty is negligable, then it certainly should be negligable to Chrysler also. Sounds like the same BS they said a couple of years ago about rebates. Chrysler reduced their rebates because it was costing them too much money. That could only be true if they were selling more vehicles than they had forcast would be sold at the reduced price. Dang, the rebates did just what they were supposed to do, SELL MORE VEHICLES. I think Lee Iacoca (sp?) had the right idea about warranties. Offer a better warranty than the other guys and stand behind it. Guess what, it helped Chrysler sell more vehicles.
