I'll try to backflush it with a hose first. If that doesn't work I'll try the air-enhanced version, but that will have to wait till I get the deuce over there because I don't have a portable air compressor. The radiator grill is a real dog to get off, and there's an oil cooler mounted right in front of the radiator, so to check the temperature I think I'll have to get it good and hot, shut it down, and quickly feel the back of the radiator (not going to do that with the fan spinning!) That little 4-cylinder diesel must be really working to haul the loader/backhoe around, because it overheats going 1/4 mile up a 10% grade from a cold start, but then cools right off as soon as I turn around and head down the hill.
